Amsterdam Foot & Ankle Course 2015

Amsterdam Foot & Ankle Course was organised for the first time in 2000. Since then, specialist from all over the world took part. This year, Piotr Wieczorek, AMC Medical Centre’s orthopaedics and traumatology specialist attended the course once again. Each year, the course focuses on minimally invasive procedures to the ankle & hindfoot. It includes cadaver sessions, an interactive computer course, live surgery, clinical presentations, ankle prosthesis workshops and a quiz. Lectures are interactive and use a wireless voting system. During cadaver sessions, state of the art minimal invasive surgery techniques on the ankle & hindfoot are presented. Lectures are given by local and foreign speakers. The number of course participants is limited so as to provide an optimal practical experience and interaction with lecturers.

International associations such as: The International Society for Arthroscopy, Knee surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports medicine (ISAKOS), The European Society of Sports traumatology Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) and the UEMS (Continuous Medical Education) have assumed patronage over the course.
