Symposium: Foot and ankle joints - current approach and future trends

Symposium "Foot and Ankle Symposium 2016" is a meeting organized by the company Zimmer Biomet, which provides for the exchange of experience in the scope of the latest surgical techniques of the foot and ankle joints. The meeting was held in Barcelona (Spain) on 22-23 September 2016. Dr Piotr Wieczorek, a specialist in orthopaedics and motion traumatology, operating in the AMC Art Medical Centre in Szczecin was one of the six delegates from Poland who attended the Symposium. The meeting brought together lecturers from England, Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain and the United States of America, among others. The 2-day symposium focussed on problems in the surgery of the foot and ankle, including arthroplasty of the ankle joint, surgical reconstruction and correction of the foot.
